The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.
William James

Stress Awareness Day
The date was created by ISMA (International Stress Management Association) in 1998 in the United Kingdom.
The objectives of the date are to provide information on stress and promote the importance of well-being for the individual, sharing strategies to combat stress with organisations and individuals.
Employees are encouraged to talk to their companies about the stress they experience in their work, while companies are invited to adopt measures to reduce stress.
Stress Awareness Day is an opportunity for people to start taking responsibility for themselves by taking time to identify the individual pressures they are under and find ways to eliminate or reduce them.
Although invisible, stress carries a heavy weight. Ignoring stress at work or in everyday life can lead to serious health complications, with a decline in the immune system, increased blood pressure and susceptibility to heart disease.
